Roof-top Antenna Checks
I start with a visual inspection of the antenna, amplifier (if fitted), and cabling. Then I take signal readings directly at the antenna and amp to confirm performance, and I check mounting screws and cable entries are water-tight to prevent roof water ingress.
Splitter, Cable and Connector Checks
In the roof space I inspect the splitter(s), cabling, and connectors that can affect signal quality. I re-terminate poor crimps, replace corroded connectors, and swap out the splitter if it’s faulty. I also assess the age and overall condition of the internal cabling.
